We all strive for a radiant complexion and youthful glow and liquid collagen can help with just that, as we all inevitably age.

Over time, our natural collagen production begins to decline, resulting in our skins loosening; losing its elasticity and an increase in fine lines and wrinkles. I certainly noticed a big change in my skin between my twenties and thirties in particular – Sadly, my skin no longer bounces back as it once did in my youth!

Regardless of how old you are, introducing a collagen supplement into your daily routine is a great way to slow down the ageing process.

Revive Collagen

Revive Collagen is an innovative beauty brand that delivers real results for women of all ages and adding a liquid collagen supplement from Revive Collagen to your diet can boost the body’s collagen levels and slow down the structural decline of skin, allowing you to retain your radiant complexion and youthful glow for longer.

In recent months I’ve been feeling that my skin could do with a pick me up; it’s been lacking a natural glow or radiance  and has been looking a bit dull so I trialled out their Hydrolysed Marine Collagen Drink Enhanced Plus liquid collagen. This drink can be taken daily for the best results and has an absorption rate of 90% to 95% which is considerably higher than collagen tablets where only 30 to 40% is absorbed by your body.

Whilst collagen products are mainly taken to improve the elasticity of your skin, these sachets have additional benefits as they contain keratin. Most other versions of collagen supplements don’t contain this, so if you are looking to also improve your nails and hair, it’s vital that you check the ingredients list. Liquid collagen that can improve the way you look and feel; helping you shine from the inside out.

After trialling them out for 14 days, I have noticed a few benefits already, improved skin elasticity and firmness, the texture of my skin is visibly better and I have seen a slight reduction in my skin pigmentation. I think it’s early days yet for me to visibly notice an improvement in pigmentation, but I have faith that with continued use, this may fade over time.

Collagen is thought to help with aches and pains too, as well as potentially slowing the down the effects of arthritis. Our tendons and ligaments also contain collagen, so by retaining these levels as best we can, it’s thought that it may help reduce joint pain. I can’t personally vouch for this, but with all the other added benefits, I think it’s worth a shot if you suffer from any joint pain.

Each pack contains 14 sachets in a tasty tropical flavour that includes vitamins B6, B12, C & D, Retinol and Hydrolysed Keratin.

I found the taste very pleasant: it’s described as tropical and it does have a fruity taste to it. It’s sweet without being overly or sickly sweet and it comes nicely presented in a box with slots for the individual sachets inside a sleeve.

The best part is that they are easy to use on-the-go, particularly if you travel a lot; you can pack individual sachets and take them with you. The aesthetically pleasing packing makes for a great gift too, with Christmas just around the corner – you can give the gift of youth!

Having said that, I do think it’s a bit over-done with the packaging and I’d like to see that reduced somewhat.  I found it a tricky to remember whether I’d taken them each day and thought it might be useful to have the days of the week written on the cardboard so you can work out where you are. Regardless, I certainly noticed a difference.

Have you tried liquid collagen? I’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments below.
